• Steam Winter Sale 2025 Game Haul Gaming Journal //Posted - 3 January 2026

Steam Sale is the thing that every PC gamers like me always look forward to. With a ton of games on sale and some easy way to earn pocket change to get more steam wallet. Sadly though, I'm so very broke at this time. I only have like 7 bucks to spend on video games so I need to pick a game carefully on this winter sale.

Fortunately in every year end, Steam's competitor, Epic Game Store also has its own event to throw away all their money for the sake of user acquisition. They give away free games that are not cheap and rarely bad. Like, the first day when this started, they gave away Hogwarts Legacy, completely free! What's funny people from my country were so shocked. The ones who had bought it from Steam were protesting and even tried to refund their game even though they have bought it a long time ago KEKW. So yeah, thank you Fortnite for funding my video gaming needs.

Okay back to our main topic, I have some considerations of games I wanna buy. First, it must be fun to watch because lately I've been very active on my Let's Play Channel. I want it to be playable there to generate contents harhar. Second, the game must be an indie game since.. Who likes AAA games, man? smh my head. And obviously, it must be something that's under 7 dollar.

    Eternights Gameplay

    It kinda looks cool right?

The first thing that I put into my cart was Eternights. It's an indie Action-JRPG? that's heavily inspired by Persona series. From what I've heard, people said mixed stuffs about it, but that means it'll be easier to have a controversial opinion about it which means, more contents to write!

After I put it in the cart, I plan to wait and check out the day after. But something appeared late at night and made me quite surprised. Remember the things I said about Epic Games Store earlier? Well this happened.

    Eternights Free on Epic

    Surprise!!

Thank god I haven't checked out. And it happened twice in this Free Epic Games Session! BRUH WTH? SKALD: Against the Black Priory was the other one. So I waited til all the free games spree was done in December 31st to finally decide what to buy.

It took me quite a long time to scroll through my wishlist of 800+ games and finally I decided to buy 2 games in particular. One is a roguelite with a lot of collectible waifu in it, Super Bullet Break. The other is a once Japan only game, TASUKEMONO. I got both of them for a lot less than 7 bucks so I put the rest of the money as a fund to host this website instead KEKW

    Super Bullet Break

    I love cute anime girls.

I've been wanting to buy Super Bullet Break for a long time but I was always contemplating would it be worth it to spend the money for it? This time is quite different, It's now 90% off! Too good of a deal to pass it.

If you ask what is it about that made me want to buy it so bad, honestly I have no serious answer. I always love weird/experimental games, and after looking at the screenshots and description alone I still have no idea what this game is about. Must be my kind of game, then. Furthermore it has cute anime girls. Man, who doesn't love cute anime girls? More reason to buy it.

In all seriousness I am serious. I still have no idea what this game is about. Apparently it's a roguelite deck builder that incorporates gacha-like system? No clue, man.

    TASUKEMONO

I swear I'd think this is an SRPG.

The other game, TASUKEMONO is a Sokoban-ish puzzle game with a Strategy RPG twist to it. It seems like each character will take turns to help a blind girl to reach the end of the level. Each characters have their own abilities to navigate through the levels. It's weird, and obviously this is my type of game. I think this would get some views on the Gaming Raibrary channel, too!

I remember finding this game from 2022 (or maybe 2023?) Indie Live Expo. At the time the game was only available in Japanese. I was surprised it is also in English now. Since when??? Anyway, I do recommend these two games to any of you who reads this post.
